Dear FTEA Members,
Please find below an email from Marie Blistan, our NJEA president. Below are two links – one is about Urban Hope, and how detrimental it is to the public schools in Camden, and the other is a link for members to take action against this legislation. Please consider making your voice heard.

Good evening, FTR presidents . We received word that the Urban Hope Act proposed legislation is scheduled to be heard in the Senate Budget Committee on Thursday.
As noted previously, NJEA is OPPOSED to this bill which will further hurt our students and public schools in Camden. The following link is an excellent Op-Ed in the Philadelphia Inquirer by Camden EA President Keith Jones.
We are asking for your help to get the word out to your members to TAKE ACTION through the link below that is on our website.
THANK YOU for your help and support, and I hope that your first day back was a smooth one for all of you! -m
